In most cases using a No-CD or Fixed EXE will solve this problem!
Some original games do not work when a certain application has been installed, like DAEMON Tools. When using Fixed Files make sure to use a Firewall which controls outgoing traffic, as some games call back to report the use of these modified files!. When this happens use the original EXE to play online, else you could find yourself banned from the game! Some No-CD/Fixed EXE files work fine in Single Player mode but are detected to be modified when trying to play online. 
Always make a backup of the files that are overwritten by the File Archive, as the original files are usually required to update the game to a newer version or to play Online!. Visit FileForums However it will run just fine on my Windows XP HP Pavilion laptop (smooth as silk too), unfortunately, my laptop is our primary phone service (we use magic jack) so you don't want too much else happening on the laptop else you might experience break ups in phone calls, so it's pretty much just used for testing software to see if it will run, and for our small office phone system. I've looked up the SSHDRV76.sys and apparently it's part of the games copy protection system and apparently it doesn't always like Windows Vista, so NO, the game won't run at all on my Windows Vista desktop. When starting this game, I will either get a message telling me to insert the game cd, or the computer (windows vista 32bit home premium edition) will get the blue screen of death with the following information:
